Upcoming – On 30 September 2024, Dr Francis will be presenting a CPD on submission writing and procedures before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal in immigration, protection and citizenship matters on behalf of the Refugee and Immigration Legal Service.

Between 24 and 29 June 2024, Dr Francis delivered a course on Refugee Law in Australia to law students at the Charles Darwin University.

On 6 October 2023, Dr Francis was a guest speaker at the African Youth Affairs Strategic Oversight Committee at the African Village, Redbank Plains

On 30 November 2021, in conjunction with the Refugee and Immigration Legal Service, Dr Francis presented a continuing professional development seminar on the humanitarian visa process and challenges facing Afghan applicants

On 5 October 2021, Dr Francis presented a seminar to legal volunteers of the Refugee and Immigration Legal Service on Offshore Refugee and Humanitarian Visa Applications

On 21 September 2021, in conjunction with the Refugee and Immigration Legal Service, Dr Francis presented a continuing professional development online seminar to legal professionals across Australia on humanitarian visas law and practice – Afghan cases

On 30 August 2021, Dr Francis presented an online seminar to international development agencies on legal and other assistance to Afghan nationals at high risk of harm

During the 2019-2020 summer semester, Dr Francis taught an intensive course in refugee law at the Asia Pacific College of Business and Law, Charles Darwin University. Over one hundred students from across Australia and the region participated.

On 18 September 2019, the Law Council of Australia’s Migration Law Committee hosted a 1 day legal update at the Sofitel in Brisbane.
